Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Syrian Chef/Cook to join our prestigious Client (Resort) in Al Ain. This role is central to delivering exceptional dining experiences that reflect authentic Syrian, Arabian, and Italian culinary traditions.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook authentic Syrian, Arabian, and Italian dishes using traditional recipes and modern culinary techniques.
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety and hygiene standards in compliance with local and international regulations.
- Manage inventory, monitor stock levels, and assist in ordering supplies to ensure seamless kitchen operations.
- Contribute to menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and guest feedback.
- Supervise kitchen staff during service, providing guidance and ensuring consistency in food quality and presentation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment in accordance with health and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with the culinary team and management to meet daily service demands and special event requirements.
- Ensure proper storage, labeling, and rotation of ingredients to minimize waste and maximize freshness.
Requirements
- 2–4 years of proven experience in a professional kitchen, preferably in a resort, hotel, or high-end restaurant environment.
- Expertise in Syrian, Arabian, and Italian cuisine with a deep understanding of regional ingredients, cooking methods, and flavor profiles.
- Proficiency in English and Arabic (written and spoken) for effective communication with staff and guests.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and HACCP principles.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team under pressure during peak service hours.
- Valid work permit and willingness to accept visa sponsorship and relocation to Al Ain.
- Willingness to live in provided accommodation as part of the employment package.
