We are seeking a skilled and passionate Cook (Indian / Pakistani – Desi Food) to join our culinary team at a prestigious resort in Al Ain, delivering exceptional dining experiences across diverse international breakfast formats and daily cuisine offerings.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook authentic Pakistani and Indian dishes daily, ensuring consistency in taste, quality, and presentation.
- Execute a variety of international breakfast menus, including French, Italian, Arabian, English, and European breakfasts, with attention to cultural authenticity and freshness.
- Prepare a wide range of baked goods, including breads, cakes, cookies, croissants, rolls, pastries, and donuts, using both traditional and modern techniques.
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards in all food preparation and storage processes.
- Assist in menu planning and development, offering creative input on new dishes and seasonal specials.
- Manage inventory of ingredients, monitor stock levels, and place timely orders to prevent shortages.
- Supervise and guide junior kitchen staff, ensuring proper training and adherence to kitchen protocols.
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is clean, well-maintained, and operated safely.
- Collaborate with the kitchen manager and dining team to meet service demands during peak hours and special events.
- Comply with all resort policies, health regulations, and safety procedures at all times.
Requirements
- Proven experience of 1–3 years in a professional kitchen, preferably in a resort, hotel, or high-volume food service environment.
- Expertise in preparing Pakistani and Indian cuisine, with a strong understanding of spices, marinades, and traditional cooking methods.
- Demonstrated proficiency in preparing French, Italian, Arabian, English, and European breakfasts, including continental and buffet-style service.
- Skilled in baking and pastry production, including croissants, rolls, pastries, donuts, cakes, and cookies.
- Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation practices (HACCP or equivalent certification is a plus).
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during high-volume service periods.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken); Arabic is a plus.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
- Valid work permit and ability to obtain a UAE visa sponsorship (provided as part of the package).
