Job Description
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Arabic Chef for one of our top high end client (Resort) in Al Ain. This role is central to maintaining our restaurant’s reputation for excellence in taste, presentation, and cultural authenticity.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a wide range of authentic Arabic meals, including main dishes, appetizers, and desserts, using traditional recipes and techniques.
- Manage inventory of Arabic-specific ingredients, ensuring freshness, proper storage, and minimizing waste.
- Develop and suggest new menu items that reflect regional Arabic culinary traditions while aligning with customer preferences and seasonal availability.
- Supervise kitchen staff during meal preparation, ensuring adherence to recipes, hygiene standards, and food safety protocols.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment in compliance with local health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with the head chef and management team on daily operations, portion control, and cost management.
- Ensure consistent taste, presentation, and quality across all dishes served.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in Arabic cooking techniques, knife skills, and kitchen procedures.
Requirements
- Proven experience (1–3 years) as an Arabic Chef or in a similar role within the food services industry.
- In-depth knowledge and expertise in Arabic cuisine, including regional specialties from the Gulf, Levant, and North Africa.
- Proficiency in preparing traditional dishes such as hummus, falafel, kibbeh, mansaf, machboos, shawarma, and various rice and meat-based meals.
- Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene standards, and kitchen sanitation practices.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment with attention to detail and time management.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills to effectively guide kitchen staff and collaborate with team members.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays, as required by the restaurant schedule.
- Valid work visa and eligibility to work in the UAE (or sponsorship support provided).
