We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Gardener to join our dynamic hospitality team in a fast-paced, luxury resort in Al Ain. This role is critical in maintaining the aesthetic excellence and ecological health of our landscaped grounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily maintenance of lawns, flower beds, shrubs, and ornamental plants, including mowing, edging, trimming, and weeding.
• Operate and maintain gardening equipment such as lawnmowers, trimmers, blowers, and irrigation systems.
• Implement seasonal planting schedules, including sowing, transplanting, and caring for annuals, perennials, and decorative foliage.
• Monitor soil conditions and apply fertilizers, pesticides, and organic treatments as needed, following safety and environmental guidelines.
• Inspect and repair irrigation systems, including drip lines, sprinklers, and timers, to ensure optimal water usage and prevent waste.
• Remove debris, fallen leaves, and other waste from walkways, patios, and garden areas to maintain cleanliness and safety.
• Collaborate with the landscaping and facilities team to execute special projects, such as event setup, seasonal décor, and garden redesigns.
• Report equipment malfunctions, plant health issues, or pest infestations promptly to supervisors.
• Adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations, including proper disposal of waste and use of protective gear.
• Contribute to sustainable landscaping practices, including water conservation and use of native plant species.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of proven experience in landscape maintenance, gardening, or a related field within a hospitality or resort environment.
• Proficiency in the use and basic maintenance of gardening tools and equipment (e.g., mowers, trimmers, blowers, irrigation systems).
• Knowledge of plant care, soil types, pest control, and seasonal planting cycles.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high aesthetic standards.
• Basic understanding of irrigation systems and water conservation principles.
• Valid work permit or eligibility to obtain a work visa (visa sponsorship provided).
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Clean driving record and ability to transport equipment if needed.
• Prior experience in luxury hospitality or resort settings is highly advantageous.
